Easter was so great this year. The weather was just beautiful and the Easter Program at Calvary Chapel was amazing like usual. We spent Easter at the Erickson's this year and the egg hunts and decorations were great. It was fun to see Everett running around trying to get eggs in his basket and then he would run and try to hide them afterward. He also looked so dang cute with the Easter outfit from his Grandma Janet nd his leather Jacket his sweet Aunt Pam got him even before he was born. Berlin also looked so adorable. Janet always makes my kids look so adorable especially on special occasions like this. We are so so blessed and days like Easter Sunday are such a great reminder of that.

Side note: Since we spent Easter with the Erickson's we spent the evening before with my mom and Dave and also our cousins who recently moved from Nebraska to Montana. It has been so fun hanging out with them they are a blast and our kids get along so well here they are playing and dancing. love them!

I Heart AZ!!

In April Michael's golf girls had their Big Sky Tournament. It's the teams last tournament of the year and it's held in Chandler AZ...so I without hesitation ditched work, our kids and went with him!

It was AMAZING. The golf girls were a blast. The head Coach and my friend Kellie Hooper was so fun and the Ocatillo Golf Course was beautiful. I slept in until 9am (10am my time) EVERYDAY... I got a Starbucks EVERYDAY and I layed by the pool drinking my coffee and enjoying my Nook reading Little women and Hunger games EVERYDAY.

Can't wait for next year:)

Let's DANCE!

So Berlin spent this last year on a competitive dance team...that's right this high school athlete has a little girl that wears make-up and gets in dresses and DANCES. WHAT??!! I NEVER in all my life would think that I would be a DANCE mom. Ya know I love to dance and I love all my dancing friends and cheerleader mom and grandma BUT I LOVE sports. LOVE it still to this day. I always ask Michael if he wants to play me in a little one on one basketball tournament and the funny thing is (I really truly deeply think I could be a fierce and good competitor) I just have always enjoyed competing in all my activities and dance has really turned my life around and ACTUALLY gained ALL my respect. I LOVE it and I can't be more excited to see what my little girls chooses in her future. Here are some great pictures of her at rehearsals and after the competitions. She took home 2 first place awards and at 3 years old the youngest on her team. Who says dance can't be a competition. Love my little dancer

In February we went to Bearlake to go snowmobiling and spent the weekend in my sister-in-law Britney's timeshare. It was so fun to hang out with family and just relax, swim and play games. We went to celebrate Michael's 29th birthday. Also Berlin LOVES to put her hands in her pockets and when you trip the chin is the first to catch your fall. poor thing.

In March we enjoyed having our friends come over to make home made pizzas. It was fun to have the kids help cook. The two adorable cuties in these pictures belong to a beautiful friend of mine that i originally facebook stalked...YUP I did admit that!! I sometimes see cute women in Pocatello that I think i would have stuff in common with and ask to be there friend and then eventually invite them to my house and I wine and dine them:) I met miss Kelli at Berlin's dance studio about a year and a half ago she was Berlin's first preschool dance teacher and she was so great with the kids and just a sweetheart I knew we were destined to be friends. Anyway here are the kids and their masterpieces.
Also in March, Janet the kids and I went to Mandy's to celebrate her birthday in Boise. The kids had a great time and Berlin LOVED helping auntie Mandy open her gifts. We also got to spend some time with some of Mandy's best friends and their kids and it was so cute how well they all got along.

And Lastly since Everett has turned 1 he has grown into a little man and Berlin Mae's best friend.
They cuddle on the couch together, paint together and Berlin teaches him the ways of life. I can't get enough of these two.

Hello Old Friend

Well Well Well I am so sorry for the LONG pause between blog posts! I especially want to apologize to my dear son Everett whose every move has been documented in my mind but NOT on this family blog and I promise that I will make up for that by buying you a college education:) Anywhoooo
I am going to start out with the beginning of the year...January was a pretty boring month in terms of activity but huge in terms of my family being together...If you aren't aware Michael my husband is a golf professional at a course in Soda Springs Idaho. He runs the course there during the later Spring months to the early Fall months and then he enjoys his Winters with US ALLLLL DAAAAYYYYY!! Actually he coaches the Idaho State Women's Golf team during his off season but most of his time is spent with us and since I work from 4am-noon we have all afternoon to lounge, shop and play Lion slayer! That's Berlins new game...we hide in the Princess castle and then when she suspects a lion is near she jumps out and throws air kicks and fast 1-2 punches in the air. We also have this inflatable bat that she beats them up with as well:) This is actually a game that I need to get on video because it's quite entertaining to see Everett a little pigeon toed 17 month-old kick and punching NOTHING but acting like he knows exactly what's going on.
Anyway back to January it was boring to most but JUST a great month of spending good fun quality time together.
Playing play-dough, Playing on furniture and just taking funny pictures together...I loved it.

February was cold and miserable but since I have the best in-laws a girl could ask for we went to Janet and Dave's for a Valentines Dance! It was such a blast. We got all dressed up and had an amazing dinner and then danced the night away to oldies music. Here are some pictures to end the post...Enjoy...

Oh Everett it was only yesterday that I found out that I was pregnant with you!! I was so overjoyed and couldn't believe that I got to have 2 children that Michael and I would raise to be just like us!! :) Just Kidding...that is actually surprised me the most about you...you are such an individual. You have many similar traits that your sister and you share but most of the time I am amazed at just how different you both are. Everett you are my little mommas boy. You are very sweet and you entertain yourself for days. You hardly ever cry and when you do it's because you have severely hurt yourself.
You love to play basketball and catch with dad and sister. We currently think you are left handed:) You almost have all your teeth. You can say...momma, dadda, MORE, hulk, dog, and poop:) You can walk but you still crawl VERY FAST to get things you want. You love to eat chicken nuggets and waffles. You are severely allergic to peanuts and tree nuts which we found out the hard way!
You can show us your eyes, ears, teeth and tongue. You LOVE HULK your dog you hug him and kiss him and TACKLE him. You love to kiss your momma and you are the BEST hugger in the world!
We love you Everett Michael we can't wait for the many memories to come!

SO this was Everett's FIRST Christmas and man was it an enjoyable one. He turned 1 a couple days after it so he was at such a fun age every gift he got he lit up with joy and knew how to play with it right away e is such a mellow and content kid he was definitely on the nice list and then Berlinny mas was she fired up! She was so excited about Christmas and Santa...since November Berlin had her eyes set on this Barbie Make-Up Set. She talked about it everyday and anytime she was acting up I just had to grab my phone (to call Santa) and she would stop. It was actually quite great the power I had over her:) It sure was a blast at our house this year! Well here are some pictures of the joyous weekend. Enjoy.

So for Thanksgiving this year we went to San Diego. It was such a fun time (despite the 13-14 hour drive with our kids) we always have such a great time with our So Cal family! We had great company all the little kids played in this amazing little cottage that sweet aunt Pam and uncle Doug have in their backyard and the adults caught up with amazing food and drinks. Our cousins got to meet Everett boy for the first time which was great and to top off the trip we got to go to Legoland, Sea World and The San Diego Zoo. All in ALL PERFECT trip.

Berlin Mae LOVES the snow she is definitaly her dad's child. Berlin and Michael have been up to Pebble twice this year and Berlin is mobbin the pow :) She absolutly loves the snow. My Favorite Son

This is Everett Michael Erickson! LOL I used to update everything Berlin did when she was a baby and I have been HORRIBLE about updating the blog with Everett's milestones so here is a little recap of the most beautiful baby boy!

He is 10 months and so sweet. Berlin was a sweet baby but very active and Everett is so bashful and reserved he is really quite opposite from his older sister who is 3 turning 16:)

He can say bye, hot, Hulk, Dog, Uh-oh, momma, dadda and ho, ho ,ho! He loves to play catch and is really good at it. I am actually amazed at how much different boys and girls are when they play I actually try to give Everett Berlin's baby's to love and snuggle and he doesn't want anything to do with them. So funny.

He has 4 top teeth and 5 bottom teeth. He is crazy about food but HATES textures and this little video will show you what I mean we went to Famous Dave's and I tried to get him to eat I think cheese and he wasn't having it!

He has darker hair than Berlin did and his eyes are a darker blue. He is a momma's boy but really LOVES spending time with his dad and sister and always has to have an eye on them especially if they are together.

He will be one December 28th so this is his first Thanksgiving and Christmas. We love this little guy so much and are looking forward to the many memories ahead of us.

Grandma's, Red Carpet and Pumpkins

We had an eventful October we went and visited my Utah Grandma's we went to a party that was Red Carpet themed because we wanted to and we carved pumpkins with our favorite people. It was such a fun little trip to visit the granny's the kids had a fun time with their cousin's and then we stopped at Logoon's Frightmares on the way home.

The Red Carpet event was a party put on by our friend Kellie. Kellie is another ISU Golf coach and she is more than a ball of fun we love her so much...the party was at her house and she had a DJ it was like being at a High School dance all over again except Michael actually danced and he was so funny! Love him.

We also had a great Halloween holiday Berlin got to dress up so much here is a picture from her dance class party but I will have to add more pictures when I upload them...enjoy.

Hello again! It has been a long while since I have posted. Though I could lie and say we had an eventful summer and why I havn't posted in 4 months and why Everett is almost 1 and hasn't had the blog posts he deserves instead I will just tell you that we didn't I just have been busy with finishing up my meteorolgy certification and enjoying this beautiful weather with my sweet little family.

Since the fourth of July I turned 28...BLAH it hurts to even type that! Everett boy has turned 10 months and my Berlin Mae turned 3! I am going to dedicate this post to her celebration.

Berlin Mae now THREE YEARS OLD!!!

My sweet baby girl has turned three and she couldn't be more proud of her age. She has started pre-school and on the ITD dance team. She loves to read, play Barbies, color and her new fascination is the movie Annie! She is such a fun child and has really started to show her comedic side. She belly laughs a lot and LOVES her little brother. I know I've talked about Berlin's obssesion with her silky blanket and her thumb but her "new" comfort is her little brother. Like her blanket once she sees him or touches him she pops that thumb right into her mouth.

We did another bounce house this birthday with a Princess Theme. Berlin was Cinderella and even her grandma Brenda got into character as the Queen:) We had a fun time with our wonderful friends and family. We also enjoyed a beautiful Cinderella cake that I made with fondant it was awesome...I had help from a cake decorator in our area but it was a blast to make and when Berlin saw the cake she lit up!

Berlin Mae you are growing up way too fast. I love everything about you and every birthday I have to ask myself if this blessed life is for real. You are my sunshine sweetheart and I love you more than my words could ever express. Happy 3rd year!

Everett is 6 months old! I am so sad every time I post realizing how fast my baby is growing. He is now closer to toddlerhood and leaving babyville! When did this happen!
Here is a list of my monkey's milestones:
He can sit up by himself
He LOVES food. Veggies, Fruit, Rice Cereal...ANYTHING! He I think is going to be like his dad in high school...ordering Pizza Hut pizza before every football game...Really??!! A whole pizza??
He is so bashful and flirtatious he will flirt and then hurry and turn his head like "I'm cute, but I'm even MORE cute when I do this:)

He loves his sissy. We are all in a competition to see who's name he will say first he is really close to saying dadda so Big Thithsder and Ma ma or losing at the moment:)
He can wave bye bye
He loves to stick out his tongue and grab anything or toy he can reach.
He got his 6 month shots like a champ...he barely cried and then flirted with the nurse afterward here are some pics of the damage.
He still loves to nurse and again LOVE LOVE LOVES to EAT...my big boy!

So since I am once again behind we have some dad's day stuff to post on here...Michael is probably going to kill me later today (he's my blog stalker) for posting this picture. It's so funny!

Anyway for Father's day I had my sister come over from Twin and give Michael an hour and a half massage. She brought her table and turned our theater room into a tranquil, babbling brook, oily oasis...so relaxing.

Michael and my own dad are so similar...their laugh, humor and compassion for people are a few of my favorite qualities. They both LOVE their children with all they have and they love their daughter's so much.

I love you both more than words could ever express and I miss you dad all the days of my life.

This is the C.O.T (circle of trust) you know back in elementary school when you would have groups of friends and make up secret languages that no one could understand (mera and I would tap on each others feet if someone was bugging us or scratch our neck if we were saying something that wasn't true...I know so childish:)

Well anyway this is my adult version of that club...it is a group of my coworkers a select group that cooks, eats and competes once a month. Always a great time with these guys.

I have always LOVED dancing...in front of my sibblings when we were younger, at school dances as a teenager, at the clubs in college and now in front of my kids in my living room.
There is no denying that I would be the mom of a child that would LOVE to dance but my little girl is OBSESSED. She dances all the time...she is now on a performing team and now after her recital she can't get it out of her mind. I'm beginning to think my dreams of a star athlete my be put on the back burner to DANCE...WHAT??!!? whatever, I guess:)
What I would like to brag is Berlin is doing really well and she is TWO years old...the other girls in the class are all almost 4 years and older. This to me shows how much she loves this. These are videos from the rehearsal we weren't allowed to take video or pictures at the real deal. I have ordered the professional video of the actual performances.

Being a mother is such a pleasure and most of the time I post all the many joys that come from being Berlin and Everett's mom...today I am going to reminisce about a day from mommy hell so one day when my kids resent me they can refer to this post and say wow our mom was so amazingly good to us!
It was an evening a couple of weeks ago, Michael had to work late and I had just finished making a nice and nutritious meal for Berlin and I. Everett was in his bouncer enjoying some toys. I pull out my chair to sit down and enjoy my dinner with my sweet baby girl. Right after the first bite Everett decides he HATES the bouncer so I go pick him up and again sit down to eat my meal. As I am asking Berlin how her day was and enjoying our sweet conversation Everett soils his diaper. At that moment I thought ya know Ev can just sit in his dirty diaper while I finish my meal I am too hungry to change him right this minute...right after that thought a warm gooey sensation trickles down my leg. From that point on I go change Everett's diaper after I was finished I go to get Berlin and food is all over my cabinets and floor. I then throw them both in the tub since they are now BOTH FILTHY. I get Everett washed up and out of the tub and within that 2 minutes and Everett's room is RIGHT next to the bathroom Berlin gets a couple of inches of water on my bathroom floor. I put her in time out in her room get Everett in his PJ's go to get Berlin out of time out and SHE is NOT in her room. I yell out for her and she comes out of my room in a very nonchalant manner in full make up says "Yeah Mom?"...gotta love mommy hell days! I also documented the poop pants so Everett can pay me back in the future.

So a couple weekends ago I was nursing my daughter back to health as she was suffering from a 102 temperature when my entire house shook like an earthquake had started. I thought maybe our umbrella had fallen out on the deck from high winds. I started to look out back when a younger long haired boy bails off of my back yard into a canal ditch behind my house...confused I watch him get out of the ditch and run to the left of my home. Long story short I walk out back YELLING "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED????" (Everett on my hip...so classy:) The 2 boys in the field start to walk towards me with tails between their legs and explain how they were rolling a freaking HUGE truck tire down a hill up the road and it got out of control with Eric trying to stop the tire from hitting my house...UNSUCCESSFUL.

5 mAgICaL YEARS!

The story of us...
It was 1998, I was a new sophomore at Idaho Falls High School and I had no idea WHERE my first class was...I was in a group with some of my friends trying to figure out where to go when this tall dark and handsome guy made his way up the stairs. He had a big blue Burton backpack on and his class list in hand (we still have the backpack)
Michael at that point in my life was MY NEW CRUSH!
Well things with Michael didn't go as planned that year...I never had the courage to tell anyone about the crush and we both dated other people. My junior year we dated a bit but it wasn't until my Senior year right before graduation Michael showed up at my house on a Friday night with our friends Andrew and Hugh. After that night we haven't skipped a day without hearing eachothers voice. It was also the beginning of a journey that has led us to 9 years together and today marking our 5 year wedding anniversary.
Throughout our time together Michael and I have been through a lot.
We went to school in different cities for almost a year.
We moved to San Diego. We lost my dad. We got burglarized. He graduated from SDGA. We moved to Boise for a job. We turned 21. We partied a lot. We always had roommates. We bought our first house. We got married. Went to Costa Rica on our honeymoon. We sold our first house. We moved to Pocatello for REAL jobs. We bought our second house. We had a baby girl. We built a house. We had a son. Now celebrating 5 years of marriage.

5 MoNtHS!!

My son is 5 months...
I still have a hard time accepting that he is not a newborn anymore. He is this energetic little boy that laughs at all my jokes and turns his head into my shoulder when his grandma flirts with him.
He really tugs on my heart strings anytime I see him. He is such a sweet little boy and I never knew how much love I could give until meeting him.

Everett Michael is a big talker he LOVES to coo and to laugh. He really loves to be scared...his sister practices her scaring tactics on him often so she is the number one comedian in his life.
He can roll over on one side
He can hold himself up on his tummy
He LOVES his dadda...he has to know where he is at ALL times. Even when nursing I have to tell Michael not to talk just so he will finish eating.
He is an excellent sleeper he still sleeps in my bed. We both LOVE it! He loves it because it is huge and he thinks it is all his I love it because when he wakes up in the night I am right there to cuddle him.
He is in 6-9 month clothing and his feet are huge.
He is very long and about 16-17 lbs
He drools a lot. He loves his green binkie but he really I think wants his fingers.
He is growing up too fast and I can't describe how sweet a boy he is.

Oh and since Berlin has seemed to be pushed to the side the last 5 months so here is a little update on her...
She is going to be 3 in September and she is a riot! She loves to play house, color, play play doh and jump on her trampoline. She can count to 14 in english and 11 in Spanish. She knows what city and state she lives in, her birthday and who the president and vice president are and she also knows where they live. Her favorite color is blue. She loves her dogs. She also just made a itty bitty dance team that has 4 competitions a year so I will be posting videos soon. She is such a sweet big sister and daughter. Yesterday she looked at me and said..."HEEELLLOOOO GORGEOUS!" I said what is that from and with attitude she said Alvin and the Chpmunks...mom!

Wow I don't know why it has been so hard for me to update this thing. Anyway we have a lot to get to and I have about 20 minutes to do it. We will start from where I left off...Everett's new born pics.
Big boy is an amazing sleeper he sleeps a lot and he sleeps at the right times.
Berlin did a great job with adjusting to the role of Big Sister...she loves to help change his diaper and she reads to him all the time which he really likes. Don't get me wrong she is 2 and she has done some wild things but I like to think it's her way of initiating poor little Everett into the family.
Back to Everett he has been such an amazing little addition to our family. He brings us all so much joy and his gently nature and tender heart is truly to die for. He is a bashful little guy which I think he gets from his dad. He also LOVES the ladies. He has been such a trooper with his shots, circumcision (AWFUL thing to witness) and dry skin. He is my little angel boy and we are so happy to have him in our lives.
Over the past 4 months we have been pretty busy I have 4 classes left until I am officially a Meteorologist! We will be going to Mississippi for graduation next summer and then over to New Orleans to party! Michael has been working on his books and has only one more set of tests before he is a Class A PGA Professional and Berlin has been in a ballet/tap class with a dance recital they will be performing at the first of June, Everett in that time has smiled, laughed, rolled over and now eats rice cereal. He is growing up way too fast.
I won't write much more but I will post a lot of descriptive pictures that are from Birthday parties, daddy painting nails, Everett growing out of clothes, roll in stroll (our skating rink lets toddlers bring their bikes and moms can rollerskate and push strollers.) Everett lovin his carseat, having tea parties with dad at Grandma Janet's, playin at the park with grandma Brenda, Michael and I winning tickets to our very first Country concert (Jason Aldean...pretty fun time for country music, Bowling with the fam while Michael's sister Amy was in town, Making frames with Aunt Mandy, Easter and Easter Egg hunts. Funny story about Easter...we went to the Z103 Easter Egg hunt and out of thousands of eggs Berlin happens to pick the one that has the grand prize of a new bicycle...lucky girl just like her mom:) Enjoy the pics. He has been sleeping so well and he LOVES to nurse so he is growing like a weed he is about 10lbs 5oz. Berlin has been a bit of a handful lately I think she truly is too smart for her own good...she remembers the craziest things and LOVES to test her parents:) She is just starting to get used to baby bruda. She is getting so big.

Everett Michael Erickson

Here he is at 8lbs 12 oz's and 22 inches long Everett Michael Erickson entered our lives at 8:49am on December 28th.
We had a very long sleepless night. We had an inducement time of 8pm and we actually weren't able to come in until 11pm because so many women were having babies at that time. When we finally got in they gave me my first dosage of medicine to ease me into labor it was the same routine we went through with Berlin were no pitocin was needed...this time was very very different. After the second dose at 3:30am I was still a 2 and no real changes. When I was given my second dose with Berlin an hour later my water broke naturally and I was able to get the epidural an hour later so it was very smooth. This time nothing happened with the second dose so at 7am my Doctor broke my water and the nurse put me on pitocin...which was a big mistake because right after that had happened I was ready to push when the anesthesiologist finally made it, so I didn't have time to get the epidural and I had to get a different shot to ease the pain right before the baby made it into the world. So it was an hour and 45 minutes after they broke my water that my baby was in my arms. I pushed about 2-3 times and big boy was here.
It was extremely painful labor extremely different experience from Berlin but always worth it.

Okay since I had my little guy on December 28th...I have been a HUGE slacker with the blog. Here is a slideshow with some of the events we had going on before my delivery. What was really fun about Christmas this year was we didn't leave our house much. We had the fun anuall Erickson Party in Shelley and then the famous Christmas Eve party(mom in law puts this on at her house and it is always a blast) was held at our house. Then the following day we had a baby shower for Everett and thanks to all of my generous family and friends we were set for the delivery that would be the following night.

Michael and I have really been missing our friends and decided to take a weekend trip to visit our friend Andrew and his beautiful girlfriend (I hope soon to be wife)Ellie. It was such a fun time their house is awesome and the guest room was the best! We loved catching up and really having NOTHING on the agenda.
When we got there it was in the evening. Andrew started to give us a tour of his new house and when he showed us the bedroom we would be staying he turned on the light and LUKE and PATRICIA were in there all the way from Vegas!!! It was hilarious. We were so excited to see them...and to top off the weekend Sean and Haley Chapin arrived in the morning so all of Michael's best buds were there for an AWESOME weekend. Above are some pics of Andrew wrestling his crazy cute bulldog and then below Luke showing off some killer dance moves! hahaha I also have Tobin busting a move without moving his feet which is apparently SO HOT RIGHT NOW in clubs across the country! Muahhahaha!

Here is my Little Chicken! Isn't she adorable. We went to a trunk er treat at ISU with little Addy on Thursday and then on Halloween Day we went to Blackfoot and I.F. for the Real Deal. All the cousins were together and really made off good with a huge supply. Janet found this adorable costume at Macey's, I actually had to cut the feet off of the tights because Berlin is just TOO tall:) Berlin LOVED her costume...that's because she LOVES my moms real Chickens:)

Last week we had a little carving session with our friends Kenny and Sara. It was such a great time we had soup for dinner and then got carving. Michael had a hard time following the pattern but I really think my monster was the best:) It was really fun watching the girls gut the pumpkins and Berlin took a couple of pictures with my camera. Every year my company gets Lagoon tix so this year we ACTUALLY used them and went during their Frightmare month which was actually a blast. Berlin had such a good time. It was so fun watching her ride the rides...I was a little bummed I couldn't participate on the fun rides but it was all worth watching Berlinny's face.

Since Michael is now the assistant Golf Coach and he gets to go to tournaments in nice and warm locations, Berlin and I took advantage and went with the team to San Diego.

We love that city so much Michael and I have so many great memories living there and some of our favorite people live there, Michael's cousins. Here are just a few pics of the cousins loving on each other. We also went to the Little Italy Festival which was awesome and then I discovered a new fav thing and that's YOGURTLAND it's almost like Disneyland but sweeter:)

When I moved to Idaho Falls I was 11 years old. We lived in a neighborhood right by Edgemont Elementary School where I attended for the last 2 weeks of fifth grade. I met a few new friends then but I didn't have a chance to really get to know anyone until the follwing year in Mrs. Mortons 6th class. The class consisted of about 20 kids but the two most memorable were Remington and Meradith. In Junior High while trying to be a matchmaker I met Courtney Burton and then Amber and Stacy followed who I didn't know well but would soon become best friends with in our first years of high school...and that makes up our GROUP C.R.A.M.B.S!

The 6 of us have been through just about everything together... from Bad make-up to BAD hair, overalls, bad boyfriends, bad EXgirlfriends, broken hearts, the best laughs, the best PRANKS and now the best husbands, the best kids and new beginnings. We love eachother so much and we needed a little more girl time last month so we went to Park City to live it up for two days. It was such a blast, we laughed SO hard and was reminded of so many memories that a lot of us had forgotten.

Michael's sister Amy and her family came to Idaho Falls at the end of September and we all took a family field trip to Mesa Falls. It was so beautiful. I hadn't been there in years and sometimes it is so nice to be able to go only an hour away to the gorgeous outdoors.

So like I said before Berlin had two days filled with presents and a few of her favorite things. One thing is her LOVE for Tinkerbell. She really looked like a little pixie with her hair all pulled up and her tights on. Michael and I rented a bounce house and then had a few craft projects to keep the kids entertained. Berlin absolutely loved the bounce house because she LOVES the trampoline at gymnastics. The kids all had a great time and the parents really just got to talk and enjoy drinks and cake because that bounce house was a nice little babysitter.

NO MORE DIAPERS...until the end of December anyway.

Well in the last 3 months of NO posting my little angel girl turned TWO! We had to move her party to the 19th of September though her Birthday is September 10th due to a grandma (Brenda) that had to go to Vegas or something:) Anyway on her ACTUAL birthday we decided to pamper her since her life is SOOO hard filled with playing baby's and coloring. We have this adorable baby boutique about a block from our house that does kiddie pedicures and manicures. On her birthday we took Berlin and her little friend Allison. They had a blast. Berlin of course picked out pink and wanted flowers and stickers on every digit. Another thing Berlin loves is SUSHI she is definitely her mom's daughter and then we did a mini cake with two candles of course. Berlin's favorite part of the day was the digital kid camera she got because she LOVES

So we had a sod party a few months ago, well in the summer...I know we are almost in full blown WINTER but this little boy makes me so tired and forgetful I have been horrible with blogging and blog stalking:) Anyway Michael and I sent out emails and texts trying to get people who love us to slave away for a couple of hours. We paid with drinks and pizza but it was a hot and hard day while the pregnant lady ran around the house "looking" busy:) Anyway what was really cool about the whole thing is Michael's best bud Luke came ALL the way from Vegas to help and the best part was he totally surprised Michael, it was the best!

I had to post this picture it is so damn adorable! This is Berlin and her BFF Allison. She is Berlin's babysitters niece and is the sweetest little thing you have ever seen. They color, play with babies and have lunch together almost everyday.

Berlin has turned into to such a little character. I have decided to document her funny phrases an idea I got from my blog friend Stephanie. Anyway on Sunday Michael and I got a new tv and while we were putting it on the wall we could hear Berlin yelling dad, dadda, daddy dad, DAD, DADDA...then she yelled at the top of her lungs MICHAEL!!!

Last night while Michael and Berlin and I were coloring our princess pictures Michael looked up at Berlin and noticed that she decided that since the princess on the picture looked beautiful with red lips she would try it on herself! That's right I titled this post with my mothers age:) She doesn't care though because she knows she is an old granny:)

Actually she is a very cool very hip mom and granny. Here are some pictures of her party. One of the requirements to get into her high profile party was if you have a musical talent you have to perform it. Well I USED to play the violin so that wasn't going to happen and my sis Ashley plays the guitar and sings so she was the hit of the party but Whitney and I didn't come empty handed...we made up an awesome Thriller dance and then taped ourselves and gave it to her! It was seriously hilarious...when Michael was finalizing the disc I could hear him laughing at us and though i knew it was really funny footage it was kind of bugging me how FUNNY he thought it was:)

For my moms birthday she got this heavy duty wagon thingyand instead of hauling her veggies or weeds...she uses it as a a ride wagon for Berlinny:) My step dad also got an adorable new puppyher name is Holly and Berlin loves to tell her what to do. The rest are just some fun summer pics.

Guess who found her camera!!!!

Oh my! I have torn my house up and down looking for that dang thing. Well I found it in the back pocket of Berlin's Diaper bag. Anyway, you are going to get a few photo's from a while ago and then a big space of nothing because with no camera there are no new photos:)

The first couple of pictures are of Michael and one of his buds Shane working on our deck. Shane is an amazing carpenter. Our deck is so beautiful with custom craftsmanship. Also Berlin loved playing in the dirt while the boys worked hard.

The next two pictures are of my mom, Dave and Berlin in the Tour De Inkom race it is a bike ride to Inkom and back. It was pretty hard especially for Dave who had to pull Berlin in the back. She fell asleep right after we left.

Here is a picture of our house finished we have been living in it now for about 2 months and absolutely love it! I will post some more pictures of the inside when we get all of it decorated.

Then we have little goof muffin...she is turning into such a little stinker! She LOVES to entertain she likes to jump off the steps, off the couch and when she does it without falling she yells "Momma I deed it! I deed it, I jumped!" Also some fun Berlin stats: She can peel an orange by herself, she even starts it with her teeth:) She is a dare devil like her Dad in this pic on his bike down our street.

She can count to 10 but she is missing 3 and 7. She can almost say her ABC's she can say ABC,P,S,V,Y and Z sing with ME! She also LOVES to sing the Barney song "I love you, you love me and she loves to hug and kiss you when prompted in the song. Berlin has also peed on the potty but is now acting very uninterested so who knows.

4 Years!!!

Today marks the day I married the man of my dreams.

I still remember being a Junior in High School seeing Michael in the hall and thinking there is definitely something special about him but I can't really put my finger on it. Who knew that the next year would be the first day to the rest of our lives as a couple.

Michael and I started dating officially May 18th 2001 I was graduating High School and had my bags packed ready to go to San Diego. I had the Beach bug and NOTHING was going to stop me.

Michael went back to Boise and though the direction of our relationship was a little unclear...we talked the night I got to CA and have talked everyday since. To this day I have never NOT talked to my hubby at least once a day. Michael truly is a charmer and he continues to melt my heart with his smile. He truly adds everything to our family he is the best father to our daughter and I can't even begin to tell you all of his qualities as a partner and best friend.

He makes my life complete.

Please ignore how incredibly gross I look...but it was a really fun 5k that we ran on mothers day. Berlin rode in the stroller and did a great job...she kept pointing to the water we were running by and yelling Nemo Nemo!

It is cute she yells that near water but I also need to be careful with her if she ever tries to search for Nemo.

Here it is my second card from my card making class. Isn't it beautiful???? :) I love this class it is so fun and the product is very cool. It is really crazy though because after I make the card I don't want to give it away! The tree on the card is a stamp that I colored and then I messed up and had to turn over the paper because I pushed down too hard:)

Anyway I was the hostess last night so I got some cool products THANKS to my co-cardmaking crew. So yes if your wondering...yum that cupcake looks really good and really cute wonder if Brandi made them? Your answer: Yes she did:)

K I think I will be pretty up-to date on my Berlinny posts with this one. I have mentioned before that this little girl has a sense of humor and she makes us laugh even when she isn't trying. The first couple of pictures are from her after lunch getting done with her peaches which she like to drink the juice out of the cup. Then she started to realize that she can hold the cup by suction on her face so she was showing mom what an awesome talent that was.

Also she has this new obsession with my bike helmet and she won't take it off and she likes to take it places. The last time I went to Fred Meyer as I'm getting her out of the car seat she points to the helmet and says "MOM my Hat!" I should have just let her wear it in the store but I really didn't feel like answering people's questions that day...what a character!

Last week Berlin saw that I was blow drying my hair straight. Something I have to do everyday unless I want it to be curly and frizzy. I don't have the cute curls like Berlinny does but she DEMANDED I blow dry her hair. I put the blow dryer on low and started to just let it dry. All of the sudden she looked like a different person! It was so funny she looked like a little teenager! It was so funny I couldn't believe her hair could be that straight. When i showed her in the mirror man did she LOVE what she saw.

So our house should be completed in about 2 weeks. Man it has been a long haul really we are coming up on a year from when we bought the lot. The house is beautiful though and really has been worth the wait. I will post pics of the final product here soon.

Berlin is really talking up a storm lately. A cute little thing happened when we were all hanging out...Sara and I were in the kitchen and Kenny and Michael were talking in the living room until Addyson came into the kitchen with her hair sticking straight up on the side sopping wet! Berlin turned 18 months on the 10th of March! That's right Berlin is almost TWO!!!
Seriously Michael and I can't even begin to tell you how crazy we are about this little girl. She truly is the love of our lives and we wake up every morning excited to provide for her and just sit on the floor and play. She is such a little smarty pants. She is talking a lot more she jokes around she still LOVES her babies she calls ALL Children babies...which is my fault I always address her Hey Baby:) anyway she is a smart cookie who loves to bust a move. She is so sweet and I don't even remember life with out her. Berlin Mae...Mom and Dad love you so much.

Okay so we now actually have some exterior rock on the house and the inside is now being painted so we are getting so close...but here are some pics of the house with the siding and then the new BEAMS my brother in law and Michael put in. With the rock the house will look very different because the rock is really dark but I LOVE how dramatic it is. Also you can't really see our front door but it is so beautiful...we did it sort of antiqued and that is the same type of look we might stain the beams. I will get better more exciting pics of the house in about 2 weeks when the exterior is finished and the inside doesn't smell like lacquer.

Okay first things first...I want all that reads this post to start clapping your hands for Berlin and her new LONG hair:) I can officially put it into a pony tail that doesn't stick straight up:)I'm so excited about the new length because it is really fun for me since I LOVE doing hair. When I was a kid my little sisters always had french braids and curled bangs because they just couldn't look like they just woke up:) What is REALLY funny about this all is Berlin also LOVES doing hair I don't know if Michael or her Great Grandma Smith really quite LOVE this new passion of Berlin's but they are troopers:)

LIZ+ALEX actually equals STUNNING Couple that are the cutest love birds I have ever seen.
February 20th Michael and I went to San Fran to celebrate the marriage of Michael's cousin Alex and his wife Liz. Oh yeah and Sweet Aunt Pam's Birthday:) The weekend away was filled with great parties, a beautiful and loving ceremony and AMAZINGLY Decorated Reception. One of the really cute ideas that the couple did was had a photo booth that you could take as many photos as you wanted. the only detail the couple left out is that they would have a COPY of all the photos that were taken...Oops!!!
I will post a slide show when I can get all of my families pictures put together as well as mine...here are just a few to tie you over.

Oh and for a little history the Palace hotel where everything was held is a historic Hotel and building in San Fran's historic financial district and the room they had the reception in actually used to be where the horse and buggy would drop off the guests.
It has a real Old Hollywood type style that was just beautiful.

I know I know this is SOOO overdue. I took some pictures of Berlin in her Valentine's outfit on Love Day seriously how cute is that sweater and the pants have little hearts as the back pockets:)(thanks Grandma Janet). Valentines is one of my most favorite holidays...it's funny because everybody claims we shouldn't have to have a day to show someone we love each other it should just be a given to do romantic things and give chocolates everyday but I think that is such CRAP! I Enjoy my Anniversary and Birthday because I remember really special moments and cards on those marked days. That is the exact same feeling I have for V-day that make it even more and more special each year.
This year Michael had Berlin make me the most adorable card it had a picture of us together in it and then to see Michael's handwriting while she told him what to write:) PRICELESS:)
Michael and I had a great date night we went to a fancy restaurant called Senang and then we went to He's Just Not That Into You...it was cute but a little too long I like movies like that to be just a little shorter.

So last week Michael and I made a point to try and go to the park as much as we could weather permitting. Berlin LOVES being outside and since she has mastered the slide and thinks the swings are hilarious it was a great time. On one of our outings we ran into a friend that Michael played sports against and that I knew from school Travis Archibald. Travis and his wife Jenni have a daughter close to Berlin's age. While catching up with them Jenni asked if I worked in the mornings and after saying that I did she said well that's too bad Travis takes our daughter to a playgroup and Berlin would really like it.
Right after the comment a big light bulb went off and Travis was like "Michael you should come...I'm the only guy and it would be nice to have someone to talk too." Michael was like yeah okay.
So the guys have also been getting together to play basketball and while at their game last night Travis yelled to Michael hey you still up for Story Time at the Library tomorrow morning and Michael smiled and said sure dude see you there!!! hahahaha!
How stinking CUTE is that.

If you have seen Madagascar 2 you will ToTally understand my post title! So stinken cute!
So apparently my daughter now LOVES movies she seriously wants to watch Nemo or Tinkerbell EVERYDAY! She is so funny she loves to sing along and really is the child that can't take her eyes away once she gets into her Disney Trance which she gets from my mother!!! Anyway Michael and I were bored last Friday afternoon so we decided to take her to her first movie...she did such a great job and MAN can that girl eat popcorn it was hilarious she was such a big girl!
And yet she is still my baby...when there is a little too much stimulation this is what you get on the way home:)Notice the licorice on her face...she is my sugar baby.

Seriously I'm really not a competitive person...I never fight for the team I love, I don't get emotional when it comes to winning or losing, I have never gotten a t foul in sports or have been vocal at sporting events........................................

Okay so that last paragraph is all very VERY untrue and those of you who really know me when it comes to my competitive nature had called me out to there computer screen at the first 10 words:)
So now on to the super bowl...hmm well lets just say that this is like th 5th sports bet I've made between co workers my husband and friends that I have won in a row and though a polite person would keep this all to themselves...I want to shout to the world If you want to give me a Starbucks GC or a Diet Coke with some Laffy Taffy how about a hour back rub;) Then let's bet on it:) Not competitive HA!!!

That was the phrase I think I heard all week in California. I had such an amazing time meeting up with the cousins in sunny San Diego. For a back story Alex, Michael's cousin is getting married February 21st in San Fransisco to his gorgeous fiance Liz.
Michael and I this last weekend went to CA to join them in the celebration of their single life that will be ending very soon. The girls went to Palm Springs and the boys went to S Tahoe. I have yet to find any web pictures of the boys party so we don't REALLY know how that all went down all we know is that most of them went home with about $500-$4000 more than what they came due to the craps table.
Here are some pictures of the girls I obviously couldn't post them all since my grandma checks this blog but here is an idea of what type of fun we had. Some quick notes of the weekend both parties had about 15-20 guys and girls. The first night all the ladies wore matching tanks and the second night all wore black dresses while Liz was in white. Some highlights and random moments...

Okay so we are getting closer and closer. We are currently meeting with the outside rock and siding guys. We will be picking out carpet and flooring on Feb 6th...by the way does anyone know a carpet layer we need a little help with measurements and laying. I think within the next couple of months we will be wrapping up.
Quinten and Michael just finished the electrician work we are so excited about how it looks. Quinten has really helped us out so much with that! Anyway here are the pics of the outside and some inside pics of the lighting. Oh also does anyone have any opinions on central vacs? Let me know.

About a month ago Berlin, Michael and I tagged along with Michael's sister Brit and her husband Q and their kids to Quinten's family cabin. We had a great time.
Michael especially loved the snowmobiling! I swear I have more people on his side to get a dang snowmobile...but I'm NOT budging:) I guess it's the fact that I have grown up in a family that never owned motorized recreation (except a boat) or that I am a total wimp when it comes to heights. All I know is Michael Loves it and it will probably be a never ending battle. Also Berlin had such a great time she is another on that LOVED the motorized fun she also LOVES the snow that girl ate more snow it was hilarious. She takes after her mom I think I hit up the snow cone shacks once a day when they are in season:)

Well I'm still in shock that 2008 has come and gone! The news continues to do all of the "look backs" and it's so amazing how time flies as an adult. I now have a 1 yr old who thinks she is 5 and a dream home that is almost complete...a vacation I've been waiting for all year has come and gone and a birthday that's creeping up on my husband faster than he likes:)
The holidays really like to creep up on us, pounce and then leave us in the dust standing there all alone and a little sad. If your hitting that winter wall that I just hit yesterday here are some great Christmas photos to put a smile on your face.
Christmas Day: Oh and for a side note Berlin got a potty from Santa because she is obsessed with ours and she had pee peed twice in it yesterday!!!hahaha GO BERLIN!

Okay so we had such an amazing time in Disneyland with my family. We went there during the "dead weak" for our Christmas present from my parents. It was such a blast to see little Berlinny light up at the kids, rides and princesses.
We also went to Universal Studios, CA Adventure Park and Downtown Disney for some amazing meals. If you are going soon DEFINITELY go on Tower or Terror and Soaring over CA in CA Adv! Berlin LOVED the Bugs Life land in that park as well. The Simpson's ride in Universal Studios was amazing!
I love Disneyland and Orange County and hope we can make this a family tradition.

Okay so we have been singing, telling stories and even teaching her the famous line "HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS!" And this is the end result:)
We went to the Festival of Trees today that the Portneuf Medical Center puts on and it was just beautiful. The trees every year are always so pretty and this year to see Berlin oh and awe was so cute. Here she is looking a bit confused at the tree that is having a conversation with her (the talking tree:) and then another is the train that she was amazed with.

Apparently in Montana caged Turkey's at gas stations is the "New Trend"Hopefully everyone had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. I'm very sad to report that my football team lost but that is because it was cold and Mandy wasn't on my team to tell us where to go. Also my brother was a powerhouse for some reason and my sis is scrappy...and I guess because Michael used to play QB so whatever we all know that was an upset:)
Besides that disappointment, Turkey day was really fun and filled with good food fun people and delicious pies and cupcakes.Speaking of Cake here is a cute train cake I made for one of our reporters who just left us to go to CA. It was so tasty and cute.

Also this picture sums up our day. Berlin loved seeing her aunts and uncles and can't wait for Disneyland to hang with all of them again NEXT WEEK!!!Also here is a picture of an old man and his cute family that we went to dinner with recently to celebrate his birthday. He couldn't even talk though because he had lost his voice while celebrating...if you don't know who they are it's Michael's sister her husband Quinten and their adorable kids Kenedee, Carson,& Cole.
Lastly here is a picture of Michael and I at my "Winter Festival" company party...it was really nice great prime rib and fun games. The best part of the night had to have been me winning $25 to Del Monte Meats haha ha out of all the prizes like $200 to Farr's Jewelry and gift certificates to Black Swan Inn I'm going to get some BEEF:) Funny!"

Wow we are so behind on posting pictures that you will once again get an overload.
The weekend before Thanksgiving Michael and I went to visit our friends that live in Montana. It was such a wonderful time we got to visit with friends, go to a football game and went out on the town. I had never been to Missoula and man was it a cute city not to mention The Chapin's adorable house and neighborhood.

After the first night we headed south to Fairmont Hot Springs in MT about an hour from Dillion where Michael and I got these awesome mini beer cans we started to laugh and had to get them for our friends. We met up with Andrew Thie and his cute girlfriend Ellie and spent the whole night going down the waterslide...it reminded me of Heise as kids it was a blast.We all went for Seans birthday and we are all so lucky to be such great friends after so many years. Anyway here are the pics from our fab weekend.

Here are some better pics of Halloween. We try to always go to Michael's Grandparents house who live down the street so all the little kids can refuel with some hot soup and a little costume fashion show. If you are wondering...that's right I am a French Maid...yeah a little embarrassing at the grandparents house but I had black leggings:) As for Michael he is half dressed in his costume he was a 70's detective with an awesome greasy wig and a killer mustache. but there you can just see his shirt:) Halloween is a little different now with kids now I can actually post the pictures of ourselves dressed up online:)

Berlin turned 14 months yesterday and when I was blog surfing I realized it has been a real long time that I have updated all that has been going on in her world. First I just want to say how fast the last 14 months have flown by. Berlin can now talk back to me she laughs at my jokes and seriously is an amazing macker:) She knows all of her animal sounds...she can say pappa (grandpa), Allie (her cousin), momma and dadda of course...she is close to saying grandma (my mom will argue she has already said this), she can say and sign that she is all done, bye bye, HIIIII & she is really good at this one especially when it comes to animals...she is the biggest copy cat so if you don't want her copying you like Michael copping a feel:) Lets just say Berlin has giving me a pat on the bum a few times:) and again she is the best cuddlier in the world! Also I thought I would show pics of Berlin kissing me and then Michael wanted to copy us:) hahaha! I love you BERLIN!

Sorry for the delay of Halloween pics I have been so busy lately and then Michael and I went to Boise this last weekend to help his sister move into a home she just bought. We also went to visit some friends we have been missing. It was such a great time we met up with 20 of our friends from Boise that are also from IF and then went dancing and played until 4am!!! I know go us right! Michael got into the Whooooo mode where he goes around the bar screaming WHOOO! and talking to random people while I hide on the dance floor hahaha it was so much fun. I love Boise so much and hope to live there again soon.
